Support to civil society

The work for equal rights and better terms for LGBT+ people depends on a strong civil society. In Denmark we have a proud tradition for healthy and imparcial associations, handling interest of social groups and securing well being and community for all citizens.

In Denmark, the LGBT+ civil society is already handling various tasks, such as, information, counselling and creating community spaces for marginalized minority groups.

In order to mantain the quality of this work, stable economic support from political side is necessary.

Additionally, the civil society plays a crucial part in the representation of social groups in public councils, boards and committees.

Therefore, LGBT+ Denmark is working towards securing the representation of the LGBT+ civil society in relevant instances, that affects the LGBT+ community’s living conditions.
