Join the global movement towards LGBT+ rights in the Global South!

The Global Queer Volunteer team works on initiatives to support Global LGBTIQ+ rights. Global Queer volunteers organise events during key dates in Copenhagen and Aarhus (such as festivals, Pride events, activist weeks…). In parallel, the team builds joint initiatives with LGBTIQ+ organisations in the Global South, and pursues advocacy and research about global LGBTIQ+ right.  

Global Queer Volunteers work together on big and small initiatives throughout the development of each project: they come up with ideas, complete writing tasks, develop partnerships, organise and coordinate group meetings, edit photos and videos, build a communication plan, coordinate during events… Volunteer tasks are varied and match their interests and the needs of each project.

We especially encourage non-danish speakers, LGBTIQ+ persons, migrants and persons of colour to join the team. The team is fully coordinated in English.   

No specific skills are required to join the team. However, we regularly look for skills such as project management, event, communication, writing and video and photo edition from volunteers.
